Introduction

The University College of Matara was established in 2014 under the University of Vocational Technology Act No. 31 of 2008, which provides legal provision to establish University Colleges and  operates under ‘University College’ Ordinance, No.1 of 2014, of the University of Vocational Technology.

We offered 09 courses in NVQ Level V (Diploma) and Level VI (Higher National Diploma) qualifications. University College of Matara produce national skills with technical competence as per the booming industry needs of the country and the certification we offer is internationally recognized.

Since we have not yet issued student IDs for the 2019 batch and the term of the 2017 batch has expired, you can use below letters to confirm your studentship for the requirement of vaccination of Covid 19.

World Tourism Day | 2021

Division of Management Studies, University College of Matara organized a virtual event on 27th Sept. 2021, parallel to the World Tourism Day Celebration – 2021 under the theme of “Tourism for Inclusive Growth – Ensuring the Access to Opportunities”, by liaising with Academic and Industry professionals in Hospitality, Travel & Tourism, and Events sector.
