As per the academic calendar approved by the Board of Studies of the University College of Matara, the students of the 2019 batch should complete on the job training for consecutive 24 weeks starting from March 07th 2022 to 4th September 2022.
Additionally, according to operating manual 4.7.7, it is essential to send students for six months of on-the-job training at each level following the completion of NVQ levels V and VI. Students are assessed for skilled-based competency inside the university college systems, and when students finish on-the-job training twice, their skills in the workplace improve, as does their capacity to discover better employment possibilities. Additionally, after completing the first six months of on-the-job training following the NVQ level V, students will have a greater comprehension of the theoretical modules of the NVQ level VI.
Students who have not yet obtained on-the-job training have been instructed to notify course coordinators of the relevant courses and to seek out available job opportunities with the assistance of course coordinators.
Kindly bear in mind that completion of NVQ level V on-the-job training is a pre-requisite for beginning NVQ level VI courses.
