A workshop on Introducing Ozon Friendly Green Technology was conducted on 1st of March 2021 at UCM for the students following Refrigeration and Air conditioning course with the participation of Environmental Minister Hon Mahinda Amaraweera and other officials. To mark the event, Rs.900,000.00 worth of items were also presented to the College by the Central Environmental Authority & UNDP.
පරිසර අමාත්යාංශයේ ජාතික ඕසෝන් ඒකකය මගින් ශීතකරණ, වායුසමීකරණය කාර්මිකයින් සහ ආධුනිකයින් සඳහා පැවැත්වූ “ඕසෝන් මිතුරු හරිත තාක්ෂණය” හඳුන්වා දීමේ වැඩසටහන මාතර විශ්ව විද්යාල විද්යායතනයේදී පැවැත්විණි. එහි ප්රධාන ආරාධිතයා ලෙස පරිසර අමාත්යතුමන් සහභාගී විය. පුහුණුව ලබන ශිෂ්යයන් වෙනුවෙන් උපකරණ කට්ටල ප්රදානය කිරීමද එහිදී පරිසර අමාත්යතුමන් අතින් සිදුවිය.
