The University College of Matara has four divisions, each with two units, to conduct nine courses.
Division of Applied and Natural Sciences conducts Higher National Diploma in Food Technology & Higher National Diploma in Cosmetology at National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Levels 5 and 6 with the duration of 3 years. The program of study consists of Foundation course, NVQ levels 5, 6 and on the job training (OJT) of 6 months.
Division of Civil Engineering conducts Higher National Diploma in Building Services Technology & Higher National Diploma in Quantity Surveying Technology at National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Levels 5 and 6 with a duration of 3 years. The program of study consists of Foundation course, NVQ levels 5, 6, and on the job training (OJT) of 6 months.
Division of Engineering Technology conducts Higher National Diploma in Automobile Technology & Higher National Diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technology at National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Levels 5 and 6 with a duration of 3 years. The program of study consists of Foundation course, NVQ levels 5, 6, and on the job training (OJT) of 6 months.
Division of Management Studies conducts Higher National Diploma in Event Management, Higher National Diploma in Hospitality Management & Higher National Diploma in Travel and Tour Management at National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Levels 5 and 6 with a duration of 3 years. The program of study consists of Foundation course, NVQ levels 5, 6, and on the job training (OJT) of 6 months.
