Introduction

University College of Matara (UCM) offers Higher National Diploma in Food Technology at National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Levels 5 and 6 with the duration of 3 years. The program of study consists of Foundation course, NVQ levels 5, 6 and on the job training (OJT) of 6 months.

Career Path

UCM offers HND in Food Technology aiming towards the B.Tec in Food Process Technology degree offered by the University of Vocational Technology (UNIVOTEC) and producing middle level technical personnel and supervisory level personnel in the field of food technology.

Entry Qualifications

  • G.C.E. (A/L)
    • Pass in Science (Bio) or Technology (BST) Stream or Agriculture. OR
  • NVQ Level 4 Certificate in Baker, Cook, Fruit and Vegetable Processor
  • Age Limit : Below 29 Years
